I am 29 year old. My wife is 22 year old. I married her because of my parents. They emotionally blakemailed me on that occasion. But i am not satisfied with my marriage life.I dont like her, no doubt she is beautifull and hardworking but still something is missing between us. she is pregnant now. I didnot tell her but I never liked her. Now this is the limit for me to bear her and to sleep with her. I really dont like her form very first day. i am very tense nowdays and tried to commit suicide also one time but didnot suceed in that. Please guide me what will happen if I will apply for divorce. I tried to adjust with her but now I am surethat I cant live with her.

I was traveling in Mexico and got a woman pregnant while I was down there. She informed me that if I didn't marry her I would not see my child. So under tons of pressure from her family and being scared and in a different country I unfortunately married her. I came back to Canada to start the process to get them both in Canada. While I was up here things fell apart between the two of us. The last time I seen them my son was 4 months old; he will be 6 years old this summer. I have come to terms that I will probably never see him again unless he wants to find me. The mother and I have not spoken to each other for a long time. As tough as it was I have moved on and I am in a new relationship and we truly love each other and eventually would like to get married. Since I'm not talking to my wife anymore what can we do to put this behind us so I can marry the women I’m with know.

I have got serious marriage issues, and I mean serious.
I got married in Sep 1, 2004. I brought my wife here after a week. She stayed here for 20 days. I took her
to a lot of places, had fun but after 20 days, she said some lame excuses like father sick and all that and she left to India.
I can get into the details later. It's a big story. Anyways the bottom-line is that it is heading for a seperation.

I need some assistance. If you are not the right person, can you please point me to the right attorney,
preferably someone like who knows a bit about Indian culture/laws as well.

Anonymous , if its not mutual then, u need to be seperated for 2 years,if both of you agree then u will get divorce in 3 months; your husband can delay if u want it in hurry coz u lodged complaint against him,if u withdraw also he can file for damage,u have to prove your complaint,if u lodged 498a,u will be stuck in that casetalk to him.

Hello, I have two queries on divorce by mutual consent.i have contacted some lawyers but they have given me contradictory info.

background: I am a hindu seeking divorce from my husband(also hindu). was married on 26th may 03 by hindu rites . living separtely since 15th sept due to harassment and violence. a complaint was filed in women's cell in nov and now the husband has agreed to give divorce by mutual consent. i am planning to go abroad for higher studies in late august 04 and would like this matter settled before that.

we got ma rried 2 yrs ago. lot of complications in mentality n behaviour, that i cannot tel here, went on mounting. it was like a hard core punishment for me for 2.5 yrs. we have a 2 yrs girl presently with her.
she was not ready to do it ,but i left her to her fathers home n came back to sent a notice.
i have mounted the allegations of adultry with a her relative n psychic behaviour. i have not much evidences for that. but pressure has been mounted on them to take divorce.
but now they sent the answer to me against divorce. not to preserve marriage but to win the compromise amount from me.

what i do now? go n stand the case or wait for their reaction?

I have been married to my wife for the past three years. We have a baby girl of two years old. My wife is too much attached to her parents and created dirty circumstances at my parents place and I had to leave my parents place and shifted to my Inlaws new flat. Due to some unavoidable circumstances and my Inlaws & wife's unbearable behaviour, I left that place and went back to my parents. All our belongings like jewllery, furniture, etc. etc. are at present at my Inlaws provided house only. If I seek for divorce in these circumstances, can my wife put an allegation of dowry (as ladies generally take this advantage only). She has told me that she will not divorce me and go for separation only. Could you pl. highlight on this and advise normally how things proceed in these kind of matters?

Technically a marriage is a personal affair and one only REGISTERS in a public register for legal bindings pertaining to relation.

Of course one can marry again anywhere but in some states they ask if you were previously married or divorced etc.
The best course will be that you call the COUNTY office where you are residing and ask them the rules as it may vary.

Where can I find detailed and specific information on the divorce process in Indonesia? I have a Indonesian friend (a girl) who has been married to a Western man for several years and wants a divorce. She has tried several times to do so, but he refuses to give her a divorce. They both live in Indonesia and were married here about 8 years ago. What are her options? She wants to have children and a family but not with this man and she feels like she cannot get away.
